Meet the Artist
Hi, I’m Taylor Rose.
I’m a visual artist based in Lubbock, Texas, creating abstract paintings, nature-inspired artwork, photography, and the occasional quirky craft along the way.
I’ve always been drawn to creating. For me, art has never been just about making something beautiful—it has been a way to slow down, explore ideas, capture a feeling, and see the world a little differently.
My path to becoming an artist wasn’t exactly a straight line. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas and spent several years building a career in Human Resources. While I enjoyed the people and entrepreneurial side of my work, I always felt pulled toward something more creative.
That pull eventually became impossible to ignore.
After spending several years living in Colorado, I found myself especially inspired by the landscapes around me—the mountains, forests, unexpected colors, and little moments of beauty found in nature. Those experiences continue to influence the way I approach my art today.
Now back in Lubbock, I’m embracing creativity as a much bigger part of my life. My work is often colorful, expressive, and a little unconventional. I love experimenting with different styles and mediums rather than putting myself into one particular box.
I don’t believe an artist has to have just one style. Art is allowed to evolve as we do.
Whether I’m painting a landscape, experimenting with an abstract piece, taking a photograph, or making something completely unexpected, my goal is simple: to create something that makes someone stop, feel something, or see the world a little differently.
Thank you for being here and taking a little time to explore my work. I hope you find something that speaks to you.
— Taylor
